Ainda não é hora para guardar de vez as roupas de inverno, edredons e cobertores. O inverno segue no Rio Grande do Sul e uma nova massa de ar polar ingressará no território gaúcho a partir desta terça-feira, depois da frente fria que irá trazer a chuva. De acordo com a MetSul, ela não será tão intensa quanto os três episódios anteriores, mas deverá provocar geada e temperaturas negativas entre quinta e sexta.
A nova massa de ar polar, inclusive, será menos abrangente no Brasil. As anteriores foram além dos estados do Sul, se espalhando para São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. Esta não. Ficará mais concentrada entre Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina.
As madrugadas mais frias no Estado serão especialmente as de quinta e sexta, embora o interior gaúcho tenha a chance de registrar cenário semelhante a partir de quarta. No Oeste e no Sul, por exemplo, pelo tempo mais aberto e seco, a madrugada de quarta já deve ser congelante.
Conforme a MetSul, a massa de ar polar irá durar até sexta. Depois disso, clima volta a aquecer no Rio Grande do Sul. As incursões de ar gelado, apesar de fortes, costumam trazer períodos curtos de frio entre agosto e setembro. Quando fenômeno termina, as temperaturas sobem, garantindo um clima mais agradável.
