Covid-19: mais 2,2 milhões de doses da Pfizer chegam ao Brasil
Chegaram na tarde deste domingo (19), no Aeroporto de Viracopos, em Campinas (SP), mais 1,14 milhão de doses da vacina contra a covid-19 da Pfizer. Pela manhã, já havia chegado outro carregamento do mesmo tamanho, totalizando 2,28 milhões de doses.
Os imunizantes produzidos pelo laboratório norte-americano serão disponibilizados a todo o país.
Até o final de 2021, segundo a Pfizer, serão entregues 200 milhões de doses do imunizante por meio de dois contratos de fornecimento da vacina. O primeiro, fechado com o Ministério da Saúde em 19 de março, prevê a entrega de 100 milhões até o final de setembro. Já o segundo, assinado em 14 de maio, prevê mais 100 milhões de doses entre outubro e dezembro.
Vacinação
De acordo com a última atualização do Ministério da Saúde, 222,3 milhões de doses de vacinas contra a covid-19 foram aplicadas no país, sendo 141,8 milhões de primeiras doses e 80,5 milhões de segundas doses ou doses únicas.
Ainda segundo a pasta, foram distribuídas, até o momento, 267,6 milhões de doses aos estados e ao Distrito Federal. Desse total, 259,4 milhões já foram entregues e 8,2 milhões estão em processo de distribuição.
